The “Myth Minute” is the smaller companion podcast to the “Myth Show” that covers many of the same topics as discussed in the full-length MythShow episodes. The focus of the MythMinute is to present a character or story line from mythology in a short format (Under 5 minutes). With the shorter time, the MythMinute can be used as a brief introduction to a topic or character and can be used as a catalyst for further group discussion.

Audience:

  • Educators: I hope this is a resource for those educating the upcoming generation about the stories from our pasts.
  • Writers: No source of inspiration for today’s writers of any genre is greater than the mythologies that surround us. If Shakespeare could use mythological creatures in his writings, why not us!
  • Fans of Mythology: I hope everyone is able to enjoy the stories available that have been passed down through the ages or short years to us. Please share these stories to enrich the lives of the upcoming generation.

Format:

  • Synopsis: Each episode of the MythMinute will contain a brief synopsis of an aspect of mythology, folklore, or fairy tales. Readings of short tales may also be used.
  • Show Announcements/Listener Feedback: None — This way those who use these shows as educational tools can play the shows in their entirety and not need to worry about “extra stuff.”
